It's finally time to put your sequins on and ring in the new year!  My husband and I are joining my cousin and his friend for dinner, live music, party favors and the big countdown.  How are you ringing in the new year?  Whatever you do, be safe and enjoy your midnight kisses!

Anthropologie is having a winter tag sale (extra 25% off sale items); and so much merchandise was marked down that I was [almost] overwhelmed!  After scrolling through pages and pages of sale items this morning before church, a pair of tights with dots caught my eye.  Fun tights are an easy way to update an old dress/skirt or add a little personality to your LBD.  I'll be pairing my new tights with a black leather skirt that I got from L. Bartlett.

To avoid the crowds, I spent my afternoon browsing online to see what kind of after Christmas sales I could find.  I first checked Pottery Barn because I've had my eyes on a leopard throw for about a month now.  I was so excited when I saw that it had finally been marked down.  I quickly ordered it and checked out the rest of the web for more deals.  Here are some of my favorites.

Day-after-Christmas Sales

I had lofty goals this morning as I headed out to take advantage of the day-after-Christmas sales.  I fueled up with an organic smoothie from The Gem and headed straight to Northpark.  I typically park in the Nordstrom covered parking but ventured to the outdoor parking lot when I had no such luck finding a spot.  After waiting behind a Jeep for what seemed like an eternity, I gave up.  I hate malls anyway so I was happy to abort Northpark and head to one of my favorite areas to shop, West Village.  L. Bartlett is one of my go to boutiques in West Village.  Rarely do I not find a few things that make it home with me and rarely do they not have items marked down (currently offering %25 off most items).  I found a beautiful black + white floral dress…on sale!

Christmas Giveaway

Finials

If I'm not shopping online at home or at one of my favorite clothing boutiques, you can find me at ZGallerie.  I typically pop in at least twice a week just to make sure I'm not missing out on anything (FOMO…).  I have been seeking for the perfect statement piece(s) to go above our tv in our custom media center.  I spotted these finials about a month ago but waited to purchase them in case I found something better.  Over the weekend, with our Christmas list in hand, my husband and I braved the crowd at the Shops at Willow Bend and, of course, stopped in ZGallerie.  Score!  These babies were on sale!  Originally they were almost $100 each; but I got them both for under $85!

Preface

Let's be honest.  I love to shop. And I am really good at it.  Clothes, shoes, bags, living room furniture, bedding, serve ware etc. make me incredibly happy.  However, contrary to what it may seem, this isn't a fashion blog; and it's not an interior design blog.
Let me explain.  My shopping method is part of my inspiration for this blog.  It's a simple method that I deem fun and challenging (hence the name of this blog).  Along with the joy that comes from finding the perfect shoes for a new dress, I find an even greater joy (and pride) when I come across a great deal.
So, there ya have it, this blog exists to share with you my finds through my seeking so that you can take advantage of a great deal too.

My finds may include, but are not limited to…

- local clothing boutiques
- online businesses
- department stores, e.g. Nordstrom, Neimans, Dillards, etc.
- home decor specialty shops
- restaurants (hello groupon)
- gift shops, i.e. stationary, candles, monograming, exercise studios

…all of which will labeled as a great deal for me and you!

Aforementioned, my shopping method was only part of my inspiration for this blog.  The other part comes from this verse:  "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."  Matthew 7:7
